What a fabulous place for our corporate team building meeting. Carolina Elegance is an understatement. Beautifully appointed rooms, GREAT kitchen, and a short stroll to the beach. Beautiful new pool was the cherry on the top. The house has a great flow to it. Minutes to downtown historical Charleston, but yet far enough away that you know you’re at the beach. Can’t wait to go back to Carolina Elegance !

After a long day of traveling, I arrived at Carolina Elegance tense and frazzled. I immediately poured myself a glass of wine and went to sit by the pool and instantly felt so peaceful at this home. The sport pool design with the volleyball net, pool lights of varying colors and seating in the yard was a perfect place to relax outside. The owner also had pool toys on hand for those traveling with children. As I explored the home, all of the bedrooms were so inviting, it was hard to choose the perfect one for my stay. All of the décor was impeccable and the sheets and beds were a dream. Some had great views, some had balconies and plenty of rooms with their own bathrooms. A large room upstairs with two queen beds was perfect for traveling with children and it had it’s own media room with all of the latest gaming systems. As a mother of two boys to keep busy it was perfect! The rest of the house has several spaces to enjoy family and friends for relaxing as a group or having a meal together. There are nooks and balconies on each level so everyone can be together or break off for those perfect down time moments. As we settled in it was clear that the owner knows exactly what to provide to make the experience perfect. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials you would ever need to cook a meal or entertain a group. It was better stocked than my own kitchen at home. The charging docks for all of your electronics was a great touch and made recharging convenient for everyone. There were TV’s in most rooms with access to all the movies channels and stations you would need to unwind after a long day exploring the island. The house is close to great restaurants (you must visit Acme Lowcountry Kitchen and Coda del Pesce) and beach access but also only 15 minutes from Charleston. We were able to get the best of both experiences. This rental was by far one of the best I have ever stayed in with regards to charm, comfort and amenities. I would definitely recommend this rental to friends and family.

Thanks, Julia. It sounds like your group thoroughly enjoyed Carolina Elegance. We look forward to your next visit.

I stayed with a group at Carolina Elegance from 4/18/17-4/24/17. What an amazing rental! The owner just put in an in ground pool which was beautiful and refreshing!! There was even a volleyball net and volleyball provided for us. Overall, the house was inviting, comfortable, and well stocked with amenities! We all had more than enough towels, toilet paper, and shower necessities for our visit. The washer and dryer in the home was an added bonus. Our group spent the majority of our inside time at the wrap around granite kitchen counter. Perfect gathering place for everyone! The rest of the house provide plenty of space and privacy- just in case you needed to steal a moment away for yourself or relax and enjoy a different view or the amazing smell of jasmine from one of the many decks. I was initially worried about being on an island and secluded, but realized that the grocery store was literally down the street, and the beach was only 3 minutes away by golf cart. Would absolutely stay here again with friends or family, and we are so glad that we chose Carolina Elegance for our relaxing April getaway!!

Thanks so much, Elise. It was a pleasure having your group. I know that many were on their first time trip to the Charleston area and it was fun giving you all suggestions of where to visit and what to eat. We hope to have you back again.

This is a beautiful home that was just perfect for our extended family of 9 and a toddler to celebrate my 60th birthday together. The second floor sitting porch was perfectly delightful and it was a pleasure to cook in the well-provisioned, well laid out kitchen. The beach is a hop, skip, and jump away and there is a great beach wagon complete with beach toys for my granddaughter’s first experience with the ocean. There was plenty of group and private space for our varying age/interests group to be together or apart – leading to a quite harmonious experience for all! The pool was not yet finished during our stay and I am sure it will make the property even more enchanting.

My Response   Thanks for the kind words. We are so happy that your group came and we would love to have you back now that the pool is completed. I will totally look you up my next time in Chicago. Please keep in touch

I stayed here for a week with family and some friends to celebrate my birthday. The home was newly renovated and was so beautiful. The furniture and furnishings were top notch. Some of our favorite features were the huge kitchen and dining area. The pool/outdoor sitting area and the multiple viewing decks attached to the bedrooms throughout the house. I recommend catching a sunrise on the deck and smelling the fragrant jasmine that grows all over the house.

My Response   Thanks Josh. I’m also glad that your group had so much fun playing volleyball in the pool. I know the two I talked with were surprised the water was so warm since the pool was heated.

Carolina Elegance is a beautiful 6 bed room, 5 bath home with plenty of parking. It is nestled in a quiet beachside neighborhood. My first impression of this place, is why would anyone rent out such a great house with such beautiful furniture? The house is immaculate, professionally decorated and spacious and evokes a homey warm atmosphere. There are TVs in every room with movies on demand and “Alexa” both upstairs and downstairs providing music upon request. The bedrooms are well appointed with comfortable beds, with the softest sheets. It has plenty of storage space in the large closets, and of course a laundry room. There is a comfortable, inviting seating areas upstairs, and furnished balcony. There is even a small fully stocked electronic game room to keep your kids entertained. There is a huge kitchen with a gas-stove top, granite counter tops and wood cabinetry. We entertained 16 guests and family very comfortably! No need to worry about seating or plate service for a big crowd. We were amazed that we could accommodate the crowd we entertained without having to break out the paper plates and plastic wear! This kitchen has it all. There are name brand, heavy-duty pots and pans and utensils to use. The stainless steel refrigerator seemed oversized as well. The house is close to some amazing restaurants as well as the beach. Rent a golf cart for the week like we did. That is a blast! There is a list of some of the owner’s favorite places to eat. There is a great seafood store with amazing fresh locally caught fish. The grouper was especially wonderful. I really appreciate this as we are from Florida and have an abundance of fresh local seafood, and this store, just a few miles away, had what we needed. We liked the house so much it was hard to leave to see all the amazing sites in Charleston! The house is close to the downtown area and other places of interest in Charleston. We are planning our next family reunion at Carolina Elegance for sure!

We wish we could give TEN stars! We basically had a mini family reunion and the group hadn’t been together in many years. We all arrived about the same time and several of us mentioned at the same time that there was a peacefulness as we walked into the house. The little cousins basically were strangers to each other but all five of them ran up the stairs at once to check things out and they were so loud and then we heard nothing for a few minutes and all of a sudden we heard laughter and happiness. When we went upstairs to check on them we found the three boys huddled together in the video room playing games and getting acquainted quickly. The girls had gotten pillows off of the bed and they were lying on the super soft rug (their words) watching the movie HOME. They are 6 and 8 and became best friends over the time at the beach. While we were upstairs we checked out the rooms and two couples picked out the two king bedrooms because the young boys had already decided they would be staying in the big bedroom off of the video room with two queen beds. My husband was settled upstairs in the recliner watching the big TV and a football game and asked me if I would bring him a beer. I felt like we were at home and we had only been in the house less than 45 minutes. My sister had walked out on the covered porch off of the living area upstairs to take a phone call and the next thing I saw was her sitting in one of the gliders outside sound asleep listening to the sound of the waves hitting the shore. We went downstairs and the house manager, Stuart, was showing Grandpa how to use the fancy remote with every possible sports channel on the 62″ TV and he had his feet up in the recliner and he already had found a beer and had given one to Stuart, as well. He quickly claimed the recliner for the entire visit. Let me add that he was dead set AGAINST coming to this vacation and he ended up having the best time and told stories to the kids every night and it was one of the many highlights of the trip. The ladies started unloading the groceries in the huge gourmet kitchen and we were blown away that there were candles out and Karen had left us a bottle of her wine and we poured a glass and went outside on the deck and rocked and got caught up and reconnected like we hadn’t done in years. I looked over and my Mother had tears coming down her face and she said that she was so happy to see her whole family together! What a wonderful trip.

My Response   Thank you for the nice note. We are so happy that your group felt so comfortable in Carolina Elegance and that is exactly what we aimed for and we hope to see you again. Tell your friends.

Our family vacation at Isle of Palms was amazing. This house is fantastic and includes everything you need for an enjoyable stay. As this was Thanksgiving week, we did a lot of cooking and really appreciated how well appointed the kitchen was. With two living spaces and 6 bedrooms, there was plenty of room and privacy for everyone. We all loved the upstairs porch and spent a lot of time talking, reading, and relaxing out there… a perfect place for morning coffee and even better watching the sun set with a glass of wine. The beds were comfortable and the house was super clean. Thanks so much for a great stay, we had a great time and hope to return soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beach house. It seems a lot of thought was put into every detail. The bedding was extremely comfortable and made it hard to get out of bed in the morning. Each afternoon we parked ourselves on one of the many decks and watched the sunset with a glass of wine. The walk to the beach was short and we saw dolphins playing around almost every day. We loved being able to walk to The Boat House to have lunch or dinner and cocktails because it made for an easy outing with no drinking and driving. We will recommend to friends and will certainly be back.

My Response  We are glad that you enjoyed walks on the beach and the Boat House – we love those same two things when we are in town, as well. We hope to see you again.

We really enjoyed your Carolina Elegance beach house and the name because it certainly fits the house. When we checked in on September 1st we were blown away with every detail. It was very comfortable and in a great location. We went on several walks around the quaint neighborhood. The people were very friendly. When we entered the house we noticed how clean everything was and we immediately felt at ease. It was great to have a washer and dryer. The beds were all comfortable and the linens were all top quality. We were surprised at how spacious the rooms were on both floors. Since we had so many people and kids it was terrific that everyone had a different place to hang out and do their thing. After sightseeing all day it was nice to relax and watch TV on one of the many, I believe there were 10 or more in the house. The huge gourmet kitchen was well stocked for our needs. We all enjoyed sitting on the back deck and relaxing. Several restaurants recommended by Karen that we enjoyed were Melvin’s BBQ, The Boat House, Home Team, Daniel Island Grille, and Early Bird Diner. Carolina Elegance was in a good location to venture out. An extra plus was that we got to meet Stuart (the caretaker). Thanks for the great wine!

Prior to this trip, my wife, family and friends had all been to Charleston and we’d stayed in both hotels and vacation rentals; none of those accommodations came close to match our time at Carolina Elegance. For this trip, we had eleven adults and three children and none of us got in each other’s way with the five living areas. The kids were easily entertained with large screen televisions in most every room, plus they spent hours playing video games in the game room when we could get them out of the pool. All three children stayed together in the one bedroom that had two queen sized beds and they fell asleep exhausted most every night. After the kids went to bed, we adults had our “quiet time,” sitting in the comfy gliders and chairs on the decks, drinks in hand, listening to the sound of the surf, which was a 3-minute walk from the house. The huge kitchen was very well stocked with all the pots, pans, utensils and dishes we could use. One night, we even grilled on the BBQ that’s on one of the decks. The whole house was well-decorated. Each bedroom was large, and the beds were super comfortable with very soft linens. They all had either a private bath or close access to a jack and jill bath. The house was spotless and well-maintained by Stuart and Lisa, who went out of their way to be helpful, recommending restaurants and events that were going on nearby. We give the entire experience an A+++ for excellence. We’ll be back to this beach house again next year too.
